SUMMARY:Teachings on 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas' & Medicine Buddha Empowerment
DESCRIPTION:His Eminence the 7th Yongzin Ling Rinpoche will teach on the famous ‘37 Verses of a Bodhisattva’ — advice that summarises the quintessence of the Mahayana path. \nThis weekend retreat focuses on the profound text 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas by Gyalse Tokme Zangpo—a classic text of Tibetan Buddhism that provides practical guidance for compassion\, wisdom\, and courageous action in everyday life. \nThese teachings provide concrete ideas on how we can transform difficult situations\, develop altruistic motivation\, and train our minds. The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas is a timeless guide on the path to awakening in our modern times. \nA special highlight of the event is the Medicine Buddha Empowerment. This initiation connects us with the healing power of the Medicine Buddha—for the benefit of our own physical and mental health and for the benefit of all beings. It is considered a powerful support in times of illness\, uncertainty\, and inner healing. \nThe event is open to everyone—both those with prior knowledge of Buddhism and those who are interested in exploring the Tibetan Buddhist path for the first time. \nRinpoche is known for his extraordinary intelligence and great sense of humor.

SUMMARY:New Way of Seeing
DESCRIPTION:Bank Holiday Weekend of Teachings\, with Teacher and Author Dominique Side\n\n\n\n\nHundreds of thousands of people in the West now practise meditation — but is our practice really helping us when life gets difficult and we need it the most? \nThis weekend retreat explores the real-world challenges we face when trying to live a spiritual life\, especially through the lens of Buddhism — a tradition that often contrasts sharply with our own cultural habits and assumptions.\nMisunderstandings\, unconscious biases and cultural conditioning can all get in the way of genuine insight and growth and prevent us from going deeper.\nFor meditational practices to bring real benefit it’s vital for each of us to make personal sense of ideas like wisdom\, karma\, rebirth\, freedom and emotional transformation. \nWith Dominique’s fresh approach to the topic\, you can expect a weekend that will be dynamic and interactive\, with opportunities for personal reflection\, group dialogue and questions & answers. By questioning what the Buddha taught — and our own ways of thinking — the aspiration is to uncover fresh clarity and confidence in our spiritual path.

SUMMARY:The Heart of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying - Breaking Free From Your Habitual Patterns
DESCRIPTION:Do you feel like you’re living the same patterns over and over? Many of us experience a sense of being stuck—repeating the same relationships\, reactions\, and life circumstances despite our best efforts to change. What if there was a way to understand the deeper currents that shape our experience? Rather than seeing life as random events happening to you\, you’ll discover a framework for understanding the deeper patterns at work—what many traditions call the law of cause and effect\, or karma. This isn’t about fate or being trapped by past actions\, but about recognizing your incredible power to shape your experience through mindfulness\, awareness\, and the courage to face your habitual reactions.

SUMMARY:Inspiring a Revolution in Your Heart and Mind: Understanding Death & Impermanence
DESCRIPTION:All of us are touched by death in one way or another.  The Buddha said\, “If you want to know the truth of life and death\, you must reflect continuously on this: there is only one law in the universe that never changes—that all things change\, and that all things are impermanent.” \nIn the Buddhist approach\, life and death are seen as one whole. Death is a mirror in which the entire meaning of life is reflected. And we do not have to wait for the death of someone close to us to force us into looking at our lives. We can begin\, here and now\, to find meaning in our lives. \nCome with us on a journey investigating death and impermanence\, through deep reflection on change and interconnectedness\, to arrive at an appreciation of the vast potential of our own mind that is revealed when we let go of grasping at surface appearances.
